Rudolph. Peterson was born May 6, 1895 in Forest City, IA. He moved to Tuttle at the age of 10.  He was a nephew of Nils and Marit Hovey, according to 1910 Census. They were Marie Hovey's parents.  Rudolph grew up near Tuttle.  Nora met Rudolph when he was playing in a dance band.He played the violin, Mary Rogelstad played the piano and Oscar Melby played clarinet.  They often played for S/N functions. 

 

He married Nora Rogness in Harvey June 6, 1925. Mr. Peterson was a mechanic in Manfred. He had attended Hansen Mechanical Trade School in Fargo and served in World War I.
